Beaulieu Carpet

Beaulieu Carpet is a well known carpet manufacturer in the world. Beaulieu Carpet has its unique bold identity in the carpet market. Beaulieu Carpet Co. was the first producer of polypropylene oriental rugs and established its grounds in carpet market in 1978 by its founders Mieke and Carl. For centuries, innovative, intellectual and highly skilled artists have been crafting fascinating and beautiful handicrafts. Oriental Rugs are one of the ancient masterpieces. Oriental rugs are usually hand made of natural stuff such as woven and silk. Beaulieu made oriental rugs are more easily affordable and accessible than ever before. Beaulieu introduced machine made oriental rugs using synthetic material such as polyester, nylon, cotton and polypropylene. Despite of their low prices, they also have incredible durability. Synthetic Beaulieu Oriental rugs are often more affordable in terms of prices as compared to natural material made Oriental rugs. They also have high level of stain resistance than natural rugs.

In 1980, founders established Beaulieu of Canada. As Beaulieu Carpet’s sales grew, Mieke and Carl expanded their business and invested in yarn extrusion in 1981. In this way, they became first rugs and carpets manufacturing industry in the market to produce their own yarn. After continuous growth and establishment, in 1984, Carl diversified into tufting carpet and established a new factory which is known as Beaulieu Commercial now a day based in Chatsworth, Georgia. During 1987, extrusion capacity of Beaulieu of America incredibly increased after getting new facilities of Bridgeport and Alabama. These modern facilities made it possible for Beaulieu of America to produce nylon polyester and nylon yarn.

The expansion in yarn extrusion and polymer capacity is being driven by the growth of the carpet and rug manufacturing. From the first carpet manufactured in 1984 to the acquisition of Conquest Carpet Mills, Interloom, Coronet Industries, Grass More and D&W Carpets, through the establishment of Murray Fabrics, Beaulieu of America has rapidly grown into the world's third largest carpet producer. Afterwards Beaulieu of America has made its position stronger and has became third soft floor covering manufacturer in the world. Acquisition chart of Beaulieu of America is as follows:

- Acquired Coronet Industries in 1990
- Acquired Grass More in 1992
- Acquired Princeton Rugs and American poly craft in 1997
