Carpet Basics

It is not confirmed when carpets evolved and were being used in residential interior. But according to a rough estimate carpets had been made in Magnolia, Persia and Turkey during 2nd and 4th Century. These carpets were basically hand made woven carpets tufted by immigrants to save their selves from harsh cold climate affect in the region. A term carpet is usually used for a guff and soft tufted stuff made using either synthetic or natural material. Normally hand made carpets are manufacturing with natural stuff that is called wool. Wool is basically a soft and curly stuff that is collected from sheep, goat and other mammals. Wool has its own unique warm affect and adds the element of warmth. You feel your feet in comfort when you walk through it. Carpets are characterized by the wave that is used for the manufacturing of that carpet. Thus carpets have distinctive featured types depending on pile being used in manufacturing.
