How Carpet Is Made

Generally this assumption is acceptable that the concept of carpets was evolved in Central Asia. Some very famous countries producing quality carpet are Pakistan, India, Turkey, Iran, Syria, Egypt etc. Carpets are basically differentiated on the basis of their making technique and stuff being used for their manufacturing. Carpets come in synthetic material and natural material. A carpet is made of loop pile and cut pile. These are basically two general styles of carpet manufacturing. Each pile offers different kinds of features and characteristics such as thickness, design, softness, warmth and durability. But today, both manufacturing techniques are used to produce high and unique quality of carpets. Now a days, carpets in the market are tufted instead of woven. Commonly, modern carpets are made of twisted nylon instead of woven. Tufting process is just like a huge sewing machine having about 100 needles to sew the fiber.
