Carpet Fleas

Today, every one loves to keep animals as pets at their homes. People love spending time with their pets and like to play and make tricks with them. You are sitting in your television lounge with your pet and enjoying shows. Suddenly, you feel that something is itching on your feet. As a reaction, you rub your feet for few times but the irritation keeps going. So finally you look down to find out that there are some black dots around your feet. You will be surprised about these dots. These are basically fleas that your beloved pet has brought in your living space.

Fleas are basically blood suckers which can come to your home with your pet or out door dog and cat. If fleas bite at your foot then you will feel that the pain in your foot is killing you. Their bites can cause severe itching and also make red bumps and a source of misery for either your pet or your own self. Adult fleas usually spend their time in your dogs or cats fur. In other words, they ride on your companion. They don’t room out at your carpet or other household things such as fabric made things. Too many eggs are found on your beloved pet. The stage when fleas usually spend time at your carpet is known as larval stage. Here on carpet they feed themselves with dried blood and other things left on carpet where your pet lays.

There are several products available in the market to keep your pet and home safe from fleas. Your first step is vacuuming because it is a very easy way to clean your carpet. If you vacuum your carpet regularly, then it will remove larvae and eggs from your carpet and in this way you can control their growth. You also can apply insecticide to kill fleas but make sure that after applying insecticide solution in the room, any of your family member or pet does not go to that room until it dries. It is a simple way to keep your home clean and safe from fleas.
